FIFA dismisses Russian team from doping

FIFA on Sunday rejected claims by British media about the abuse of doping agents by Russia.

"There is not enough evidence that any football player has violated the anti-doping rules," FIFA said in a statement, representing a repetition of what it said last month.

The investigation, which opened against players in the starting line-up of Russia last month, was closed, the statement said.

Fifa, along with Ruslan Kambulov, defender Rubin Kazan, who was part of Russia's initial squad last month, on allegations of drug abuse but was later injured and missed the final.

"During the investigation, all possible evidence was examined and we spared no effort to do so," FIFA said.
